Caring for your hair post color service

Don't wash your hair for at least 24-48 hours. This will allow for color molecules to really set into the hair cuticle.

It takes the hair cuticle a few days to fully heal, therefore try to avoid activities that will cause your hair cuticle to open such as

  • being in direct sunlight

  • Getting your hair in the pool or saltwater

  • Having high temperatures on your hot tools.

  • Avoid using clarifying shampoo for at least 4 weeks.

Avoid using purple or blue shampoo right away since you’ll be freshly toned. Using those could actually alter the color we just did.

Those shampoos should only be used every 3-5 wash or as needed.

If you want to be extra nice to your hair, the first couple washes post color service, do a hair mask or bond builder in place of conditioner to replenish your hair with moisture and hydration which are normally stripped from lightener.

Remember to always  use a product with a UV protectant, this is sunscreen for your hair. This Florida heat is no joke!
